For more than 25 years, Alan Gallanty has practiced as a business lawyer and litigator in New York and Connecticut.  His wide range of experience runs the gamut of civil and business litigation, with particular focus on the areas of banking, real estate, professional liability, and employment. He also has appeared in courts throughout the country, including in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. In addition, Mr. Gallanty has represented clients in a wide range of transactional matters, including the formation, merger and acquisition of numerous business entities; real estate and business financings; and leasing and other real estate transactions.

Mr. Gallanty frequently serves as outside general counsel for business clients, using his diverse experience to advise CEOs and entrepreneurs on their long-term plans and on the legal issues that confront their everyday operations. Along the way, with his pragmatic, cost-effective and business oriented approach, Mr. Gallanty has become a problem solver — and problem avoider — for his clients, as well as a valued advisor in the development of his clients’ overall business and strategic planning.

His career experience has ranged from successfully representing large institutional clients, such as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in numerous federal and state court actions and before the Circuit Courts of Appeals, to assisting clients in formulating their business and strategic plans, including, by way of example, developing a new business concept that ultimately helped establish a new niche industry of luggage delivery, and then forming a new operating entity to service that unique business sector.

Mr. Gallanty has also been a frequent member of CLE faculties and served as the Legal Editor of the American Land Institute for Continuing Education.

Prior to joining Kantor | Davidoff, Mr. Gallanty was a founding partner of the firm of Twomey, Hoppe & Gallanty, LLP.
